Every host gets the CollisionCam app. It is your camera — watch it live, steer it, and act on what you see, from anywhere.

  • Live view, any time. Open the app and you are looking at your lot right now, day or night.
  • Pan, tilt, zoom. It is a PTZ camera — you can turn it left and right, angle it up and down, and zoom in close, all from your phone. Check the far corner of the lot without walking out there.
  • Siren. One tap sets off the siren on the camera. Loitering, a break-in attempt, someone in your dumpster at 2 AM — they know they have been seen.
  • Two-way talk. Speak through the camera's speaker and hear them back through its microphone. "You're on camera — please leave" from your couch.
  • Recorded and kept. Everything is recorded, so the footage of whatever happened is there when you need it — and crashes at the intersection outside are flagged automatically.

Loitering detection.

The standard camera records everything and flags crashes at the intersection. Add loitering detection and it also watches your own property: when someone stays in one spot longer than the time you set — by the door at 2 AM, behind the building, in the drive-through lane — the camera starts a timer, marks them on screen and sends you an alert.

  • You pick the zones and the timer. The entrance, the dumpster, the back lot — and how many seconds counts as loitering.
  • Alert on your phone. With the clip attached, so you can look before you decide anything.
  • Then use the camera. Zoom in, hit the siren, or talk to them through the speaker — from wherever you are.

We check sightlines, power and mounting. If your location does not give a useful view of the road, we will tell you honestly rather than install for the sake of it.

We receive more requests each month than we have hardware available. Applications are reviewed in the order received, so we allocate our monthly inventory fairly.

Usually half a day, at a time that suits you. Clean mounting, tidy cabling, nothing that looks bolted on as an afterthought.

Consent to install

Sign once now and we can show up and install without another round of paperwork. Plain words, no fine print.

By signing below, I confirm that I own this property or am the manager authorized to approve this for this location, and I give CollisionCam permission to:

  • Mount one camera and a small cellular router on the outside of the building, at the spot we agree on during the site visit.
  • Run power to a nearby outlet, or use a solar panel if that works better.
  • Come by to maintain or replace the equipment, with notice beforehand.

Either of us can end this at any time with 30 days' written notice. CollisionCam owns the camera and router, and will remove them at no charge and leave the mounting spot tidy.

Footage is used as described on this site: to help crash victims, and shared with me and with law enforcement on request. There is no cost to the business and nothing to renew.

What business owners ask.

What is the catch?
You host a camera that also sees the road. That view is what lets us give crash victims free footage, and that mission is what sponsors fund. You get security you would otherwise pay for; we get a vantage point. That is the whole trade.
Who can see the footage from my property?
Our team, for the purpose of finding and reviewing crashes, and you whenever you ask. We also provide footage to law enforcement investigating an incident. We do not sell it and we do not hand it to marketers.
Does it use my internet?
No. Our cameras run on their own cellular connection, on our account. Nothing touches your network and nothing shows up on your bill.
What if I want it removed later?
We take it down. There is no contract and no removal fee. It is your building.
Will it look ugly on my storefront?
No. Discreet housings, tidy cabling, mounted to be effective rather than conspicuous. We will show you exactly where it goes before anything is drilled.
Do I have to be in Utah?
No — we install across Utah, Nevada, Washington and Idaho, and we look at new markets when enough businesses in an area are interested. Ask even if you are outside those four.
